The new Priory building in Kindu, DRC was officially opened and blessed by the Bishop In August this year (2019). It was a busy time for the sisters, with the election of their first Prioress for Kindu, S. Jacqueline Kadorho; the profession of first vows of S.Francine and the entering into the noviciate of 4 postulants, Judith, Virginie, Christine and Marie Claire.
Completion of the building has been delayed several times due to weather conditions, in particular flooded roads in the wet season, and rising costs of building materials. The sisters report that the Chapel, the refectory and living quarters are now in use. There is some work still to do on the ground floor but completion is on the horizon.
