What is community: can we be clear?

Dr Lea Verstricht

on Sunday 3 October 2.30 – 4pm

BY ZOOM

We have great pleasure to welcome, via ZOOM, Dr Lea Verstricht, theologian and researcher, whom many of you will have heard speak on previous occasions.

In the opening session for our new theme of ‘community’, Lea will help us gain an understanding of ‘community’ as discerned from scripture.  We hope to explore what this might reveal about the relationship between the individual and ‘community’ and if such an understanding has anything to say about community during or after the pandemic.

There will be time for discussion and questions and we will end with a short reflective prayer.

Please register above and you will be sent the Zoom link in advance

(by 1st October latest)

Lea Verstricht, is a researcher and Doctor of Theology (Louvain, Belgium) and has worked with the Community and the Association since 2011.  She has acted as facilitator at two General Chapters and has delivered talks to us here in the UK on several occasions.

Lea has worked in education and research.  She gives lectures and writes on topics such as religious life today, religion in the city, the future of the Church and the care for creation.  Her talks are always inspiring and thought provoking. As a theologian, we are sure her perspective will help deepen our reflections on ‘community’.
